Dakgalbi & Pajeon
Dakgalbi or spicy stir-fried chicken, is a popular Korean dish made by stir-frying marinated diced chicken in a red chili paste based sauce with sweet potatoes, cabbage, perilla leaves, scallions, rice cake, and other ingredients. Many dak-galbi restaurants have round hot plates that are built into the tables. Lettuce and perilla leaves are served as ssam (wrap) vegetables.
Pajeon is a variety of jeon with green onions as its prominent ingredient, as pa (파) means green onions, It is a Korean dish made from a batter of eggs, wheat flour, rice flour, green onions, and often other ingredients depending on the variety. Beef, pork, kimchi, and seafood are mostly used.
